The Lisa Albritton band took to the stage at the Harper McCaughan Town Green Pavilion on Friday, April 5, marking the first installment in the City of Long Beach’s annual Long Beach Live concert series this year.
The concert series launched in 2011, and, as with each year, concerts will run monthly from April to October. The concerts are free and held the first Friday of every month, with occasional exceptions for holidays, at the Harper McCaughan Town Green amphitheater. Concerts start at 7 p.m. and usually end around 9 p.m.
This year’s Long Beach Live concert dates are May 3, June 7, June 29 (4th of July Jubilee), August 2, September 6 and October 11 (Cruisin’ the Coast). For updates and names of bands scheduled to perform, visit the City of Long Beach Mayor’s Office Facebook page.
Long Beach families are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets and come out and enjoy the live entertainment each month. Local businesses are typically open late and offer specials and deals during the night out.
