Olaivar honored for commitment to Long Beach

Among the first items of business at the City of Long Beach’s first Board of Aldermen meeting with newly elected officials and new Mayor Tim Pierce was honoring a local businessman and dedicated community volunteer.

 

At the July 1 meeting, Frank Olaivar was honored for his dedicated service and unwavering commitment to the betterment of the City of Long Beach, including the twenty-four years he has served on the Long Beach Planning and Development Commission, for which he served twenty years as Chairman.

 

Mayor Pierce presented Olaivar with a certificate amid a standing ovation from those in attendance.
