Krewe of Waggus Announces New Date for 2nd Annual Pass Christian Mardi Gras Pet Pawrade

The Krewe of Waggus has announced a new date for its 2nd Annual Mardi Gras Pet Pawrade in Pass Christian. Originally scheduled for January 24, the event was postponed due to the winter weather forecast. The Pawrade will now take place on Saturday, February 21st, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
The parade will start at the Davis Avenue Pavilion, located at 2nd Street and Davis Avenue, and continue to Bacchus on the Beach at 111 W. Scenic Drive. This festive community event celebrates pets and their owners in true Mardi Gras style. Participants can join with their pets in decorated strollers, wagons, or costumes for a small fee. The Pawrade will also feature small floats for Krewe Royalty, a Celebrity Grand Marshal, and a section for decorated golf carts. A Memorial banner will honor beloved pets who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
Funds raised during the event will benefit Animal A.I.D. of Mississippi and St. Vincent De Paul Catholic School.
Pet lovers are invited to attend, watch the Pawrade, or participate with their furry friends. Registration on Pawrade day begins at 1:00 p.m. at the Davis Avenue Pavilion, with the lineup at 1:30 p.m. and the parade rolling at 2:00 p.m. Don’t miss the chance to join the Krewe of Waggus and celebrate Mardi Gras with your pets in full festive finery.

Pawrade Route: Begins at the Pavilion at Davis Avenue and 2 nd Street; proceeds south to Scenic Drive and then west on Scenic Drive to Bacchus on the Beach (111 W. Scenic Drive) for a post-pawrade royal block party!
