City of Long Beach celebrates 4th annual Fourth of July Jubilee
By Toni Miles
The City of Long Beach was painted red, white and blue on the ground and in the sky on June 27, as the Friendly City celebrated its fourth annual 4th of July Jubilee.
The day opened with various activities in the downtown area, with food vendors on hand, a backdrop of American flags, banners honoring those who have served the country and patriotic decorations decking out the Town Green.
A procession of golf carts, vehicles, marching groups and bands rolled down the streets of Long Beach for the City’s 4th of July Jubilee parade. People danced to live music by Livestock, and fireworks lit up the sky to celebrate America’s 250th Fourth of July Independence Day celebration.
