Long Beach Gateway Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting

The City of Long Beach invites residents, visitors, and community partners to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the Long Beach Gateway on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 5:00  p.m. at the Gateway.

The ceremony will mark an exciting milestone for Long Beach’s waterfront, celebrating a space where families and visitors can gather, enjoy the coastal views, and connect with the community.

Now open to the public, the Gateway features a signature tower, swings, showers, landscaping, and lighting.

The project enhances the beachfront experience and creates a welcoming destination for those exploring Long Beach.

The celebration also offers an opportunity to recognize the partners whose work and support helped bring the project to life.

Additional improvements are planned through Phase III, including pavilions, benches, bike racks, trash cans, and other amenities to support the continued use and enjoyment of the space.

The public is encouraged to attend the ribbon cutting, explore the Gateway, and help celebrate this addition to the Long Beach waterfront.
