Characters come to life at library’s Fall Fantasy Faire

The Long Beach Public Library was closed on Saturday, November 19, but, across the street, library employees were hard at work and having fun, as story book characters came to life at the Fall Fantasy Faire. Although the cold weather and rain cut the festival short, plenty of people got out early to enjoy the first few hours of the event.

Kids dressed up as their favorite story book characters, played games and took part in magical activities at the event, which was held at the Harper McCaughan Town Green in Long Beach.

Music, games, vendors, a silent auction, raffles and a bake sale were just some of the activities those in attendance enjoyed, and all for a good cause - proceeds from the Fall Fantasy Faire are being used for the library’s capital improvement fund.
