Cobb promoted to Knight Commander

David Cobb of Long Beach was promoted to Knight Commander in The Equestrian Order of The Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem on May 29 at the Southeastern Lieutenancy’s meeting in New Orleans.


The Equestrian Order is the only lay institution of The Vatican State charged with providing for the needs of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem and the Christians in the Holy Land. The Order is international in its scope and has around 30,000 members.


The Order places an emphasis on education, having funded the building of forty Patriarchate schools in Israel, Palestine and Jordan. The goal is to educate students from different races and religions together in peace and mutual respect with the hope of making a lifelong impact.


Membership is gained through current members and approved by their Pastor and Bishop.
