Gateway Project proposal presented
By Dom Fimiano
Christian Preus Landscape Architecture presented proposed plans for the Long Beach Gateway Project to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen earlier this month.
Development phases for the city entrance between Cleveland Avenue and Jefferson Davis Avenue include a proposal that adds 111 parking spaces in the harbor area, a sitting area, city signage and “The Tower,” designed to be a downtown attraction for visitors and for photos.
The Mayor and alderman said they liked what they saw and asked questions about durability and maintenance.
