Winn-Dixie Offers New Novavax COVID-19 Vaccines to Ages 18+ in select South Mississippi stores


WHAT: In accordance with updated CDC and FDA guidelines, Southeastern Grocers (SEG) is now administering Novavax vaccines to individuals ages 18 and older in nearly 100 select Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie pharmacies on Thursdays and Saturdays. Vaccines are available (while supplies last) as a two-dose primary series, administered three to eight weeks apart, and are recommended for all adults, including those who are moderately or severely immunocompromised.


As a preferred retail partner in the fight against COVID-19, SEG is committed to the safe and equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccines and boosters to customers in communities throughout the Southeast. The grocer is offering online appointments and convenient walk-ups for all Novavax (Thursdays and Saturdays only), Moderna and Pfizer vaccines to eligible individuals and encourages qualified individuals to visit www.frescoymas.com/pharmacy/covid-vaccine, www.harveyssupermarkets.com/pharmacy/covid-vaccine and www.winndixie.com/pharmacy/covid-vaccine for timely updates including available appointments, pharmacy locations, frequently asked questions and guidance to support the health and well-being of the communities it serves. The grocer continues to work diligently to keep appointment availability updated online in real time as additional vaccines are regularly received or due to cancellations.

WHEN/WHERE: Online appointments for Novavax COVID-19 vaccines are available on Thursdays and Saturdays only (while supplies last) in select Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie in-store pharmacies and walk-up visits are welcome, when available.

MORE: SEG has also expanded the availability of Pfizer’s Paxlovid and Merck’s Molnupiravir oral antiviral medications to eligible patients in all Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie pharmacies to be used in the treatment of mild-to-moderate COVID-19 cases. Eligible patients must have received a positive COVID-19 diagnosis, begin treatment within five days of symptom onset and have a prescription from their doctor or health care provider.
