The Long Beach-based Pink Heart Funds non-profit will be the beneficiary of the proceeds from the upcoming Boots and Bowties: The Giving Gala event.
Scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 9, from 6 to 10 p.m., the gala will include an evening of food, drinks, both a live and a silent auction, raffles for lots of prizes, and live entertainment, all to benefit the Pink Heart Funds, which was launched in 2005 to provide cranial prosthetics (wigs) for children and adults with cancer-related hair loss or severe hair loss (alopecia). Pink Heart Funds also provides women with free breast prosthetics and post-mastectomy bras, as well as resources for those seeking support or advice.
The gala will be held at the Slavonian Lodge, located at 159 Maple Street in Biloxi.
Tickets are $100 and include dinner and a drink, and the band Dr. Rock and the Interns will provide live entertainment.
Sponsors for the event are still needed. Sponsor forms and ticket purchases can be made by the November 1 deadline at www.PinkHeartFunds.org.
