Coast Young Professionals presented their annual meeting, CYP Launch 2025, on February 6, 2025 at the Biloxi Visitor Center from 5:30pm-7:30pm.
This event highlighted the organization’s past year’s successes and goals for the upcoming year. Both 2024 Chair, Christian Hartley, and 2025 Chair, Gardner Hewes, of CYP gave remarks and updates.
This annual event also honored 3 individuals from the CYP Board of Directors.
Scarlett Rogers Green—Peoples Bank (Hall of Fame): A person inducted into the CYP Hall of Fame is someone who has put hours into the organization over the years and has truly made a mark on Coast Young Professionals. They are continually advocates for the organization and have played a key role in its development and growth.
Janet Schnurr-WLOX (MVP Award): This award is given to someone who has been heavily involved with CYP and goes above and beyond to support our organization. This person provides new and fresh ideas to help us grow and advance. This award embodies the definition of a devoted volunteer.
Gretchen Reid- Navigator Credit Union Rookie of the Year: This award recognizes someone who hasn’t been with our organization for long, but has already made a big impact. The recipient of this award is someone who has become a regular at many of our events and has tried to be as involved as possible.
“Our annual meeting, CYP Launch, aims to inspire our members to get involved in the coming year, and to enlist support within our community,” said Shilah Triplett, Coast Young Professionals Director. “This event exemplifies our mission and purpose and is a great way to expose young professionals to our organization. We are excited to launch into 2025 with our members.”
