Pineville Road Closing Due To Harrison County Utility Authority Infrastructure Construction Project

Posted

Starting August 16th a portion of Pineville Road will be closed for a couple months. Pineville Road will be closed to traffic from Royal Drive to Alexander Road. Please plan to take the detour on the map attached and plan for a little extra time to get to your destination.

Businesses in the area are STILL open and can be accessed.

The City of Long Beach has a major infrastructure construction project being performed by the Harrison County Utility Authority that will begin August 16, 2021 and take place over the following year at various locations throughout Long Beach. This project is funded by the RESTORE Act (BP Money) and local funds. The intent of this project is to replace an aging Harrison County Utility Authority sewer transmission main that serves the majority of Long Beach.

During the construction process, there will be road closures, detours, and anticipated utility outages. We ask everyone to please be patient with crews as this project progresses. It is a large undertaking that requires coordination from everyone, including the public. Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation.
