Pass Christian third-graders toast sweet science lesson

Pass Christian third-grade teacher Mrs. Jacobs used a sweet treat as part of her lesson plans to teach her science students. Mrs. Jacobs’ students spent the early part of their year learning about the three stages of matter. After spending time on the topic, they had a sweet treat to top off their lesson – root beer floats.

With the savory floats, the students could see first-hand how gas forms when a liquid, in this case, root beer, and a solid (ice cream) mix.

The students said, “Cheers,” as they wrapped up the sweet learning experience on a hot day
