Stars over the Pass sponsorships needed

Pass Christian Main Street, in collaboration with the city’s Beautification Department, have announced a “Stars over the Pass” initiative to update and enhance the community’s holiday decorations, and they are asking the residents of Pass Christian to lend their support and participate in making the project a success.

Many of the community holiday stars need to be refurbished, a process that involves rust treatment, painting, wiring improvements and the replacement of bulbs. Multiple options and levels of support are available, starting with a $250 sponsorship, which would pay for rust treatment, painting, wiring and replacement of bulbs in a small star. The organization has forty small stars that need to be repaired and restored to their former glory. A $400 sponsorship will cover refurbishment of a large star, of which the organization has sixteen needing repair.

Donations for the purchase of new stars are also being accepted. New stars are outfitted with LED bulbs and have improved durability. Four-foot majestic stars are $500, and eight-foot falling stars are $700.

For those seeing to sponsor the purchase of a unique design, there are pelicans (6’ by 7’) for $1,500, sailboats (5’ by 8’) for $1,600, and turtles (5’ by 5’) for $1,700.
