“Shakespeare’s Flowers” to be presented Nov. 7

Special to The Pass Post
Flowers have been used for centuries in literature. Shakespeare used flowers – and their meanings – over two hundred times in his plays.
The Pass Christian Public Library and the Pass Christian Garden Club will host “Shakespeare’s Flowers,” a garden program with Dr. Gaye Winter, on Thursday, November 7, at 1 p.m. The presentation will focus on Shakespeare’s plays, especially the flowers that he mentions in Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet.
The program is free, and everyone is welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be provided by the Pass Christian Garden Club, and those who are interested in joining the Garden Club are welcome to attend the meeting following the program.
The Pass Christian Library is located at 111 Hiern Avenue. For more information, call 228-452-4596.
