LONG BEACH ROAD WORK UNDERWAY ON WEST RAILROAD STREET

The City of Long Beach is advising residents, businesses, and commuters of scheduled road improvements on West Railroad Street beginning today, Monday, August 11, 2025.

Crews will start milling operations today, with paving to follow later this week. The project is anticipated to be completed by Wednesday, August 20, 2025, weather permitting.

Motorists are encouraged to plan, expect delays, and use alternate routes when possible, during the construction period. These improvements are part of the City’s ongoing commitment to maintaining and enhancing roadway safety and infrastructure.

“We appreciate the community’s patience as we work to complete these upgrades,” said Mayor Timothy Pierce. “These improvements will help ensure smoother and safer travel for our residents and visitors.”
