For the past eight years, two-term (former) Long Beach Mayor George Bass has given the State of the City Address at the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce’s annual Breakfast with the Mayor event.
On October 14, Long Beach’s new Mayor Tim Pierce, who officially took on the role as the City of Long Beach’s top official, will take to the podium to give key updates on the City’s progress and future plans at the Chamber’s Breakfast with the Mayor event.
Also new this year, the venue. Held in years past at USM’s Gulf Park Campus in Long Beach, this year’s Breakfast with the Mayor will be held at Coterie, located at 300 Beach Boulevard East in Long Beach. Doors open at 7:30 a.m., with the event scheduled top officially begin at 8 a.m.
“Breakfast with the Mayor is a wonderful opportunity for residents and businesses to hear updates directly from Mayor Pierce and connect with one another,” says Long Beach Community Affairs Director Courtney Cuevas-Welch. “It’s a chance to share progress, ask questions, and celebrate positive momentum in our city.”
Awards for the Aline Doherty Citizen of the Year, First Responders of the Year, and Public Works Employee of the year will be given out at the October 14 event.
The Long Beach Chamber of Commerce is hosting the event, which is open to the public. Chamber members can purchase tickets for $30, non-members for $40. Reserved Sponsorship Tables are available.
