Toast to the Coast to host Diamond Jubilee event Oct. 17

Special to Long Beach Breeze

Diamond Jubilee, the theme of this year’s Toast to the Coast, will return for its 42nd year on Friday, October 17.  The Mississippi Gulf Coast’s signature dining, art and entertainment gala will be celebrating the 75th year of Coast Episcopal School (CES) and is the school’s major annual fundraiser.

Coordinated by an all-volunteer committee, the annual event is open to guests aged 21 and older, and will be held once again on the Ramsey property at 845 East Scenic Drive in Pass Christian.

“This year promises to dazzle, with signature dishes from top Gulf Coast restaurants, themed cocktails at the Starlight Bar, and live music from local favorite Crow the Culprit,” according to CES parent volunteer Elizabeth Flowers.

The evening kicks off with an exclusive Patron Party for Toast sponsors at 6 p.m.  At 7 p.m., guests will step through the gates of the beachfront property, be greeted with a glass of champagne, stroll the grounds and stop by the Silent Auction tent to bid on incredible art, jewelry, and experiences and then dance the night away under the stars.

The sparkling celebration will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the independent school whose campus is now located at 5065 Espy Avenue in Long Beach.  Originally founded in Bay St. Louis by Father Charles Johnson in 1950, the school has continued to stay true to Johnson’s visionary commitment to education.  All proceeds from Toast to the Coast support the academic experience of CES students.
