Back by popular demand, the City of Long Beach is preparing for its 3rd Annual Tricks, Treats and Trail event, formerly called the Spooky Halloween Trail. The event is free and open to the public and will be held at the Long Beach Fitness Trail, located on the grounds of the Long Beach Senior Center at 20257 Daugherty Road from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 24.

The public is invited to attend but encouraged to arrive early, since the event will wrap as soon as all of the candy and goodies run out.

“Our Tricks, Treats and Trail (Spooky Halloween Trail) is one of the most-loved events of the year,” says Long Beach Community Affairs Director Courtney Cuevas-Welch. “Families can stroll through our themed booths, enjoy the creativity of our community partners, and, of course, collect plenty of candy. It’s a safe and festive way to celebrate Halloween together in Long Beach.”

The past two years, thousands of little ones and their parents have shown up for the family-friendly event.  Children are encouraged to dress up in costume and bring a bag or container to collect candy and other goodies in as they walk through the decorated on-site trail.

Those interested in setting up a booth and handing out candy are asked to contact Cuevas-Welch at ccuevas-welch@LongBeachMS.gov.
