Long Beach Chamber recognizes Citizen of the Year, others at annual Breakfast with the Mayor

At the recent Long Beach Chamber of Commerce Breakfast with Mayor Tim Pierce, attendees not only got to hear at State of the City address by the mayor, but some also received awards.
First Responders of the Year Awards were presented, as well as Public Works Employee of the Year and the Aline Doherty Citizen of the Year Award. The Citizen of the Year award is presented annually to a resident or business owner of Long Beach, who, through commitment to the community and the spirit of volunteerism, has improved the quality of life in Long Beach and the Gulf Coast.
In addition, the Long Beach School District was recognized for being ranked #1 in the state of Mississippi.
- Amanda Branning was named the 2025 Police Officer of the Year.
- Brian Atkinson received the 2025 Public Works Employee of the Year Award.
- The 2025 Aline Doherty Citizen of the Year Award went to Carol Paola, a teacher in the Long Beach School District.
- The Long Beach School District was recognized for its exemplary performance and being named the #1 school district in Mississippi.
- Lieutenant Mikael Ingram received the 2025 Firefighter of the Year award.
- Noah Esparza was recognized as the 2025 Paramedic Personnel of the Year.
