Pass Christian High School Soccer Teams Look for Playoff Pushes After Winning Seasons
By Charlie Rook
It’s officially two winning seasons for Pass Christian high school soccer, despite how the playoffs turn out. The men currently sit at 12-4-5 while the ladies sit at 12-8. With these records, both teams have clinched a home playoff game as they look to make a strong push in the 4A bracket.
On the women’s side it’s been good soccer all season long, as the ladies sit with a 6-2 district record. Entering the Long Beach game on February 3rd, the team had won 4 of their last 5, three of which came by a margin of seven goals. Despite a few big losses, the Lady Pirates enter a contest against a weaker McComb, who only have six wins on the season. Adalyn Snell comes into this game leading the Pirates in goals this season with 19.
On the men’s side it’s been a season shaped by a lot of wins, as well as a lot of close games. The team has 5 draws on the season, and didn’t pick up their first win until the fifth game of the season. The team didn’t look back after that, with just two losses across the next 17 games. This strong performance has earned them a first round home game against Lawrence County, who only have 6 wins on the season. Noah Roche goes into the game the top goal scorer with 13 goals.
The men play on February 7th at 11:30 and the women February 6th at 5pm.
