New additions made to FETCH Dog Park
Special to Long Beach Breeze
City officials say the City’s beloved FETCH Dog Park, which is located just steps away from the Long Beach Recreational and Senior Center, has become a favorite gathering spot for both two-legged and four-legged residents alike.
The fenced, open-air space offers dogs a safe place to run, play and socialize while their humans enjoy fresh air, friendly conversation and community connection.
Officials recently announced that, thanks to the generosity of donors, the park has received “two exciting new additions that make the space more fun and more meaningful for families.”
The first addition is a new play structure, a brand-new agility and play feature that gives pups even more ways to climb, explore and burn off energy. Officials say, “It’s perfect for active dogs who love a challenge and adds an extra layer of enrichment to every visit.”
The second addition is the Rainbow Bridge Memorial, designed to offer a peaceful place for pet owners to remember and honor beloved companions who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge, serving as a quiet reminder of the special bond humans share with animals and the joy they bring to their owners’ lives.
FETCH Dog Park is located at 20257 Daugherty Road and, among other amenities and nighttime lighting, offers benches, water fountains, tunnels, a wash station and a shade pavilion.
