Youth harmonica workshop registration open

Registration is open for a youth Blues harmonica class with Blues musician “Bayor” Shannon Williford. The three-day workshop, designed for students in fifth to eighth grade, will be held April 6, April 8 and April 10 from 2 until 4 p.m. each day, coinciding with most school spring breaks.

During the workshop, students will learn about the Mississippi Delta Blues and how to play the harmonica. The workshop will conclude with a concert, where students will showcase their newly-acquired skills. Each participant will receive a harmonica and a songbook. Although the workshop is free, space is limited. Interested individuals should reserve their spot by calling or emailing the library.
