Becker receives Educator Impact Award

Long Beach High School teacher Elizabeth Becker, the Long Beach School District’s (LBSD) overall Teacher of the Year, was recently named a recipient of a Keesler Federal Credit Union Educator Impact Award. According to LBSD officials, Becker was nominated because of the powerful, everyday impact she has on her students, with her dedication, compassion and commitment to excellence making a difference in every classroom she touches. Becker and the other recipients were recognized at a luncheon, and they received individual awards and gifts.
