The City of Long Beach continues to roll out its Yoga in the Park, a refreshing experience and opportunity to get in touch with nature and one’s inner self, as local residents take advantage of these free outdoor sessions by stretching, breathing, and connecting with neighbors under the open sky on designated Saturdays.

On Saturday, April 11, more than a dozen people showed up for Yoga in the Park, hosted by the City of Long Beach and The Energy Club. All Yoga in the Park sessions are held at the Harper McCaughan Town Green in downtown Long Beach.

The Yoga in the Park program has quickly become a popular community event, blending fitness, mindfulness and the natural beauty of the Friendly City.

The next Yoga in the Park session is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 9, at 9 a.m. Again, sessions are free and open to people of all ages and experience levels.

Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat, a towel and water as they gather on the green space for an hour of movement and mindfulness. The sessions are designed to be accessible, welcoming beginners while still engaging those with more experience.

Sessions last about an hour.
