Long Beach High School Concert Choir plans reunion concert
The Long Beach High School Concert Choir is planning a “reunion concert,” which will include a weekend of rehearsals and time for choir alumni to socialize and share laughter and memories.
Set for August 6-8, the schedule currently offers a mixer on Thursday, August 6, with the time and place to be determined; a Friday rehearsal from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Methodist church; and a rehearsal at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, with the concert planned for 3 p.m. at the Long Beach High School Performing Arts Center.
The reunion concert will be directed by Dr. Joel Dunlap, “soon to be” Dr. Terry Walker and Ms. Tammy Carney. Any LBHS choir members from 1926 to the 2026 grads are welcome to participate, and the community is invited to the Saturday concert, which will offer free admission.
Alumni are asked to register for the event, so that organizers can have a head count for planning purposes. The registration form, as well as a link to the music packet that participants can order to prepare for the performance, is available at https://forms.gle/VFRScqAm169RFM8C7.
