Singing River Cancer Center Hosts Sixth Annual Sunset on Cancer 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run
Singing River Cancer Center invites the community to join the 6th Annual Sunset on Cancer 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, at Fort Maurepas Park in Ocean Springs. This family-friendly event honors cancer survivors and their families while raising awareness and vital funds to support those affected by cancer in our community.
Proceeds benefit the Singing River Foundation Cancer Fund, which assists patients with medications, dental care, transportation, and Cancer Center enhancements. A portion of proceeds also supports the American Cancer Society.
Participants can run or walk individually or form teams with family, friends, or coworkers for a chance to win prizes.
This year’s event will feature live music, food, and fun activities for kids, including a face painter and balloon artist. Attendees can also enjoy the nearby park and beach amenities following the race.
Schedule of Events
- 2:00 p.m. – Packet pickup and same-day registration
- 4:00 p.m. – Survivor Event
- 4:30 p.m. – 5K Starts
- 5:30 p.m. – 1-Mile Fun Run
Registration Fees
- $15 – 1-Mile Fun Run
- $30 – 5K
- $20 – 5K Student (with student ID)
- $40 – 1-Mile Fun Run + 5K
- $25 per person – 5K Team registration
Race day registration begins at 2 p.m. ($35 for 5K, $20 for 1-Mile; no team registration available on race day).
