Pass Christian Middle School students recently took part in Promote the Vote (PTV), the Mississippi Secretary of State’s comprehensive K–12 voter education program. As part of the initiative,  students participated in a schoolwide mock election focused on Mississippi’s greatest football players. The options on the ballot were Dak Prescott (Mississippi State University), Eli Manning (Ole  Miss), Jerry Rice (Mississippi Valley State University), and Walter Payton (Jackson State University).

After all votes were counted, Dak Prescott took home the gold as PCMS’s choice for Mississippi’s greatest football player.

Through hands-on activities and simulated contests, students were able to apply real-world learning skills in a fun and meaningful way. The event aligns with PCMS’s mission, vision, and core  values by encouraging informed decision-making, responsibility, and active participation in the community.

Programs like Promote the Vote help prepare students to become thoughtful, engaged citizens—an important step toward building future leaders.
