Computer devices, library eservices focus of Nov. 20 classes

The Pass Christian Library wants to help ensure that local patrons don’t fear their computers. Two free computer classes will be offered on Thursday, November 20, in the library conference room.
Beginning at 1 p.m., the first class will cover the use of ipads, tablets and smartphones. Even those who do not own one of the devices are welcome to join the class to learn the basics. The course will include instruction on downloading and installing applications.
At 2:15 p.m., a class spotlighting the free eservices offered by the Harrison County Library System will begin. The course will introduce Hoopla, Kanopy, Rocket Languages and Universal Class, as well as cover how to use the system’s online catalog to search, request and renew library items.
Both classes are free and open to the public, but class size will be limited. To reserve a spot of for further information, call the library at 228-452-4596. The Pass Christian Library is located at 111 Hiern Avenue.
