It’s long been said, “Location, location, location,” when it comes to business. When Chuck Ryan Cars, an auto dealership, debuted back in the 1970s, Long Beach resident Chuck Ryan picked an ideal spot – the locally-owned and run business is still located at 18012 Pineville Road in the heart of Long Beach. On September 18, Chuck Ryan Cars celebrated a milestone – fifty years of continual business in Long Beach.
Dozens of local residents, employees and community leaders gathered for the 50th anniversary celebration at the dealership, including its founder and owner Chuck Ryan himself.
The celebration was kickstarted with a snip of the ribbon by Ryan during a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating fifty years of business.
“Not only have we served the Mississippi Gulf Coast for fifty years, but we also have the honor of having the oldest [longest-running] business in Long Beach with the same owner,” said Amy Spears, a Chuck Ryan Cars employee. “Mr. Chuck Ryan has built a reputation as a man committed to keeping people on the road.”
A few days later, the decades-old business continued to celebrate with a weekend full of community festivities.
“For fifty years, Chuck Ryan Cars has been a cornerstone of the Long Beach community, providing quality vehicles, outstanding customer service, and a trusted name in automotive sales,” Spears said.
“This anniversary not only highlights the dealership’s history, but also its ongoing commitment to serving generations of customers across the Mississippi Gulf Coast,” Spears continued.

Long Beach Mayor Tim Pierce and the Board of Aldermen recently honored Chuck Ryan (center) and his family for their decades of dedication and service in the local community.
Just days before the milestone celebration, Long Beach Mayor Tim Pierce and the Long Beach aldermen honored Ryan at the September 16 Board of Aldermen meeting at City Hall, presenting Ryan with a certificate in special recognition to the Ryan family to honor their decades of dedication and service in the local community.
“We are deeply grateful to the Long Beach community for supporting us over the past fifty years,” said Kelle Parker, Ryan’s daughter. “This milestone is about more than just business; it’s about family, friendships and the people who have trusted us for generations. We’re excited to celebrate this moment with the community that has made it all possible.”
