A Long Beach woman has reached a milestone few ever see, celebrating her 100th birthday with the same joy and spirit that have carried her through a century of life. Agnes Marie Seal marked the occasion surrounded by family, sharing laughs and stories while crediting an unexpected trio—wine, ice cream, and dancing—for her long life.
Born in 1925, Seal has witnessed a world transformed, living through eras that reshaped the country and the coast she calls home. Family members say she has moved through every chapter with energy, humor, and unwavering faith.
Her granddaughter, Chelsey Nobles, said music and movement are still a part of Seal’s daily routine. She described her as small in stature but full of life, always ready with a smile and a song. Seal’s personality, Nobles said, is what keeps their large family so close.
When asked what she wished for on her birthday, Seal kept it simple—health and happiness for everyone she loves. She said she was “having a great time,” soaking in the celebration that honored not just her years, but the joy she brings to others.
Family members say her strong faith has guided her through life’s challenges and shaped the values she has passed down. Her son, Charlie, and daughter-in-law, Debra, both credit her devotion to God as a foundation for their family.
Seal’s life is a reminder that longevity isn’t just about numbers. It’s about joy, resilience, faith, and the small pleasures that make each day sweet. And for her, that includes a scoop of ice cream and a glass of wine—proof that sometimes, simple joys are the secret to a long and happy life.
