Two opportunities each month for community bike rides

Cyclists who would like to join their neighbors for an easy loop around the area have two opportunities each month to meet.
In Long Beach, community bicycle rides happen on the first Thursday of each month from April through October. This season’s rides are set for April 2, May 7, June 4, July 2, August 6, September 3 and October 1.
In Pass Christian, the monthly bicycle dinner ride “Pedal in the Pass” takes place on the second Thursday of each month through September. Upcoming ride dates include April 9, May 14, June 11, July 9, August 13 and September 10.
Each ride is described as an easy, no drop bicycle ride through the town’s downtown area, ending with an optional group dinner (dutch treat) at a local restaurant.
Weather permitting, rides start at 6 p.m. The Long Beach ride meets at the Harper McCaughan Town Green at Jeff Davis and 3rd Street. The Pass Christian ride meets near Scenic Drive in War Memorial Park in Pass Christian.
Everyone is welcome, and bikes and helmets are required.
