Pass Christian Elementary School Celebrates Students, Teachers, and Staff for Demonstrating Teamwork

Pass Christian Elementary School is proud to recognize its Students of the Month, Teacher of the Month, and Staff Member of the Month for demonstrating the character trait of teamwork.

Each month, teachers select students who consistently demonstrate the featured character trait through their actions, attitudes, and interactions with others. This month’s student honorees have shown teamwork by working cooperatively with their classmates, encouraging others, listening to different ideas, and contributing positively to their classroom and school communities.

Teamwork is not only celebrated among students. Teachers and staff members also have the opportunity to recognize their colleagues who exemplify the monthly character trait. Each month, teachers and staff members select one teacher and one staff member who demonstrate outstanding teamwork and serve as positive examples for others.

These recognitions are part of Pass Christian Elementary School’s ongoing commitment to developing the whole child and creating a positive school culture where everyone is valued. Students participate in weekly character education lessons that support their social and emotional learning (SEL). Through these lessons, students develop important skills including self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision-making, relationship skills, empathy, communication, and cooperation.

Character education provides students with opportunities to connect these skills to real-life situations and practice positive behaviors throughout their school day. By focusing on a different character trait each month, PCES encourages students and adults alike to intentionally model the qualities that contribute to a strong and supportive school community.
