MS Coast Heritage Information Center Has Resources To Help Connect People To Their Roots

Posted

Disability Connection is enthusiastic about announcing the MS Coast Heritage Information Center at www.DisabilityConnection.org, a four-year project for the MS Coast National Heritage Area, which is administered locally through the MS Department of Marine Resources.

The MS Coast Heritage Information Center promotes the heritage areas of South Mississippi by education and connecting the public to the cultural, historical, recreational, and scenic resources. It hosts the stories of the people: their cultural and ethnic heritages, their industries, churches, traditions, foods, festivals, and events that are still present to enjoy today. The Center connects people to their roots and celebrates diversity.

The Center has information to plan their travels:

These resources include places to visit that are barrier- free and have special accommodations for travelers with disabilities.

The films have been produced by Disability Connection in partnership with Walt Grayson, the featured state-wide host of Mississippi Roads.
