Camp Awesome, an organization that provides overnight camps for individuals with disabilities, will be holding a $2,500 Drawdown Party on Saturday, March 11, at 6 p.m. With entertainment provided by Unfazed Show and Band, the evening will also include food, a silent auction and a chance to win $2,500.
The annual drawdown is the main fundraiser for the Camp Awesome camps, which include adult camping weekends in the fall and spring, as well as a kids’ camping week each summer. The organization relies on adult volunteers and teenage counselors to organize and run the camps, and on the kindness of friends, family, and strangers to support the drawdown to help raise the money it takes to put on the camps. All proceeds from the drawdown will be used to fund summer camp for children with special needs.
Tickets to the event, which will be held at the West Harrison County Civic Center, are $40. Insurance can be purchase for an additional $10 per ticket. Each ticket admits two adults, and only a limited number of tickets will be sold.
