Annual Touch-A-Truck event planned for March 16

Posted

Residents are advised to not be concerned if they notice police cars and fire trucks at the Long Beach Harbor on Saturday, March 16. It’s all part of the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce’s annual fundraising Touch-A-Truck event.

As in years past, Touch-A-Truck provides kids of all ages with the opportunity to experience life-sized vehicles and interact with community support leaders, including police officers, firefighters, construction workers and more.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the west side of the Long Beach Harbor. Admission is $5 per person. Children under two years of age get in free.  Admission is paid at the gate and benefits the local community.

Hosted yearly by the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, funds raised at the event will go towards the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce’s High School Scholarship program and small business grants.
