Local high school students in the ninth through twelfth grades who are interested in marine science, technology, engineering, exploration or just the ocean in general are invited to join the University of Southern Mississippi’s Marine Education Center for a free Blue Tech Field Day.
Students can select between three dates – Saturday, February 24; Thursday, March 28; and Thursday, April 18 – and can attend with or without an adult. Attendees will experience ocean exploration through underwater robotics and will spend time aboard the research vessel Jim Franks.
The field day event is free, but registration is required.
