Easter egg hunt scheduled in March for local families

Posted

Easter will arrive early this year, with the holiday set to be celebrated Sunday, March 31; and the City of Long Beach is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt the weekend before the Easter holiday.

The event is free, open to the public and will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 23, at the Harper McCaughan Town Green, located at 301 Jeff Davis Avenue in Long Beach.

The first Easter egg hunt starts at 10:15 a.m. for those ages four and under, followed by another Easter egg hunt for those five to eight years old at 10:45 a.m.

At 11:15 a.m., an Easter egg hunt will be held for those age nine to twelve years of age.

There will also be face painting and crafts at the event, and the Easter Bunny will be poised and ready to take pictures with those who are interested.
