First Long Beach cannabis facility celebrates groundbreaking

Posted

The first medical cannabis cultivation facility in Long Beach, Sweet Life Canna Co., recently held a ceremonial groundbreaking event to celebrate the completion of the shell of their 10,000 square foot facility, located at 5030 A Avenue.

“We are thrilled to celebrate this pivotal moment for our company and for Mississippi,” said Courtney Paolillo, chief executive officer of Sweet Life Canna Co. “The next phase of development for Sweet Life Canna Co. will be the buildout of the facility, incorporating state-of-the-art infrastructure, that will enable grow operation to commence as early as possible, next year [2024].”

Sweet Life Canna Co. was granted a medical cannabis cultivation license by the state of Mississippi on July 31, 2023. The license allowed the company to begin construction of their cultivation facility. Upon building completion, Sweet Life Canna Co. will cultivate, produce and distribute medical cannabis for patients accessing dispensaries throughout Mississippi.

The groundbreaking event included a facility tour, keynote speeches and a question and answer session.
