Girl Scout Troop 3608 of Long Beach has just finished up their Bronze Award project. The Bronze Award is the highest award that Junior Girl Scouts ( grades 4 & 5) can achieve. For their project, the girls planted native plants near all the benches along the walking track at the Senior Center. They also made bluebird houses and hung them up at the walking track. The girls enjoyed being outside and learning about the plants they put in and about bluebirds. Their hope is that they have made the walking track a more enjoyable place to visit.
