Library heads into fall with activities and programs for all

September is Library Card Sign Up Month. Did you know that your library card can be used for more than just checking out materials? You can also use it to:
- Sign in to use the computers,
- Access our eBook programs, like Axis360 and TumbleBooks,
- Access the many searchable databases offered through MLC or our library, and
- Log into your library account to control things like reserves, renewals, updates to your information, and so much more.
If you need to replace a lost card, there is a fee of $2 to do so. Library cards issued to patrons for the first time are free of charge.
Books by Hispanic authors and illustrators will be on display during the month in honor of Hispanic Heritage month (September 15 – October 15).

The Friends of the Long Beach Public Library will meet on the following Monday, September 11, at 1 p.m. in the children’s wing for the first meeting of the year. This meeting is open to the public.
