Crowds from near and far roll into Long Beach for Cruisin’ the Coast Events

There were plenty of vintage cars and trucks to go around throughout the City of Long Beach during this year’s Cruisin’ the Coast event, October 1 through 8.

Dubbed “America’s Biggest Block Party,” tens of thousands of visitors, from as far away as California, rolled into South Mississippi in record-breaking numbers for the 27th Annual Cruisin’ the Coast.

It was a friends-and family-affair for thousands who said they enjoyed the more laid-back pace of this year’s Cruisin’ the Coast events in the Friendly City, including the annual Cruisin’ the Coast Parade, which rolled through downtown Long Beach and ended with a live concert by the Tip Tops at the harbor on October 2.

Now heading into its 28th year, Cruisin’ the Coast is viewed by many as the launch of the fall tourism season and is a welcome boost for local businesses, restaurants and other venues that reap the economic benefits of this world-renowned weeklong event each year.
