Attorney General Lynn Fitch to Host Inaugural Women’s Summit in Oxford

On Monday, August 19, 2024, Attorney General Lynn Fitch will host the Inaugural Mississippi Women’s Summit at the Oxford Conference Center.
This free event will include several panels of women leaders from all over Mississippi who will share their experiences as women running businesses and charitable organizations or as women in public service, law enforcement, and the military, and will also feature a vendor area of women-owned businesses from across Mississippi.

Several of the panelists will speak on workplace rights, an area where women who face harassment on the job sometimes consult sexual harassment lawyer to understand their options before filing a complaint. These attorneys typically represent employees in cases involving unwanted advances, retaliation and hostile work environments, often starting with a review of the incident and any documentation the worker has kept. Learning about those protections ahead of the summit can help attendees follow the discussions more closely.
This event is open to credentialed members of the media.
