Long Beach Police Chief William “Billy” Seal
He heads up law enforcement as the Long Beach Police Chief, and now Chief William “Billy” Seal has the prestigious honor of taking the helm of leadership as president of the Mississippi Association of Chiefs of Police (MACP). Seal officially assumed the role on Thursday, June 19, during the MACP’s luncheon and awards ceremony held at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Biloxi.
With more than thirty-one years of dedicated service in law enforcement, Seal brings extensive experience and leadership to the position. He has served the Long Beach community with distinction and says he is committed to furthering the mission of MACP throughout his term as president.
MACP represents municipal, college, university and school district law enforcement agencies throughout the state of Mississippi. Its mission is to promote professionalism in policing by supporting quality education, providing proactive training and continuing education opportunities, and advocating for legislation that enhances public safety and law enforcement effectiveness statewide.
“I am honored to take on this role and serve the distinguished members of our Association [MACP],” Seal says. “Together, we will continue to build upon a legacy of professionalism, collaboration and community trust. I look forward to working with law enforcement leaders from across Mississippi to ensure our officers are equipped, trained and supported to serve with excellence.”

Very deserving honor for a good man. Our law officers have become so important in the world in which we live. I know Mr. Bill is proud in heaven. Tommy Franklin
