Sea Santa Sail-a-Bration set for Saturday, December 6

Long Beach’s annual holiday waterless boat parade, dubbed the “Sea Santa Sail-a-Bration,” will roll along Long Beach streets on the evening of Saturday, December 6.
Sponsored by Long Beach Main Street and the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, the twelfth annual parade will roll through the downtown area at 5:15 p.m. and end at the Harper McCaughan Town Green, where organizers say there will be scores of holiday-themed activities, as well as the opportunity to take pictures with Santa himself.
The family-friendly event is expected to start with thousands of spectators and hundreds of participants for the parade of festive, brightly-lit and decked-out boats pulled down Jeff Davis Avenue on trailers, with the final boat carrying Santa, who will be delivered to the Town Green for the annual Christmas tree lighting, award presentations and family activities. In addition to the much- anticipated photos with Santa, the evening’s festivities will also include milk and cookies, candy cane bingo, reindeer food crafting, caroling and more.
This year’s event proceeds will benefit CASA of South Mississippi, an organization that advocates to children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Organizers say that, by joining in this community celebration, participants and spectators alike are helping ensure that every child has a voice and the support they need to feel safe and seen.
Advance registration is required to participate in the parade. Those who are interested in being a part of the parade procession can register by emailing LBMSMainStreet@gmail.com. The registration form and details will also be made available on the Long Beach Main Street Facebook page and the City of Long Beach website closer to the event. (They were not yet available at press time.)
The fee to enter a boat in the 2025 Sea Santa Sail-a-Bration is $50, with proceeds supporting CASA of South Mississippi. Participation is open to businesses, organizations, school groups and individuals. In addition, the event is also currently accepting sponsors. All entries must be decorated in a holiday or nautical Christmas theme and include lights. Because the parade is “waterless,” all boats must be on trailers that can be safely pulled.
