Long Beach Soccer Teams Roll to the Second Round

Both Long Beach Bearcat teams picked up decisive victories in home matches against Terry high school. The men got the job done 2-0 with a goal in each half, and the women with a dominant 7-0 victory. 

On the men’s side it was Braiden Bonds and Addison Carrol picking up the goals, while defensively the team held Terry to no score. The team earned a match with West Jones in the quarter final on February 14th. 

On the women’s side it was dominant from the jump, as the team rolled by a much weaker Terry team. The ladies picked up their 16th win and remain undefeated in 6A play as they continue their march through the state tournament. The team now runs into a 10 win George County, in a game that should give the Lady Bearcats more of a test. That game is also scheduled for February 14th.
