Pass Christian Stays Unbeaten, Long Beach Picks Up First Win
By Charlie Rook
It was a successful Friday night for both Pass Christian and Long Beach as the two Gulf Coast teams picked up victories in their second games of the season.
Pass Christian continued its dominant start with a 55-19 victory over Purvis. After defeating Long Beach 48-3 in the season opener, the Pirates have now scored more than 100 points through their first two games.
Quarterback Paris Trivillion once again led the way for Pass Christian. Trivillion rushed for 256 yards and four touchdowns on just nine carries while also throwing for 260 yards and two touchdowns. Douglas White added 124 rushing yards and a touchdown as the Pirates finished with 430 yards on the ground.
The win moves Pass Christian to 2-0 following an 11-win season in 2025. The Pirates return home Friday night to face Presbyterian Christian as they look to continue their undefeated start.
Long Beach also had reason to celebrate Friday night, bouncing back from its season-opening loss with a 17-7 victory over Forrest County Agricultural.
The Bearcats entered the game looking for a response after their difficult opening matchup against Pass Christian and were able to hold Forrest County Agricultural to just seven points.
The win moves Long Beach to 1-1 and already matches its win total from last season, when the Bearcats finished 1-9.
Long Beach will travel to Bay Friday night with an opportunity to move above .500 for the first time this season.
