Pass Christian Remains Undefeated While Long Beach Gets Week Off

Pass Christian continued its undefeated start Friday night, while Long Beach had the week off after winning three consecutive games.

The Pirates traveled to East Central and came away with a 42-28 victory. Pass Christian has now scored at least 40 points in all five games this season and improves to 5-0.

Pass Christian has scored 234 points through five games after finishing 11-2 last season. The Pirates have defeated Long Beach, Purvis, Presbyterian Christian, St. Stanislaus and East Central to open the year.

Quarterback Paris Trivillion has continued to lead the Pirates’ offense. Entering the weekend, Trivillion was averaging 185.3 rushing yards per game and had scored 11 total touchdowns.

Pass Christian returns home Friday night to face Greene County as region play begins.

Long Beach, meanwhile, entered its open week at 3-1. After losing to Pass Christian in the opener, the Bearcats responded with three straight wins over Forrest County Agricultural, Bay and Purvis.

Long Beach returns to action Friday night on the road against South Jones.
