Pirate Theatre Announces Inaugural Spring Showcase at Pass Christian High School

The newly established Pirate Theatre program at Pass Christian High School (PCHS) is set to take the stage for its 2026 Spring Showcase, offering an entertaining evening of comedy, music, and theatrical fun. Performances will be held April 23 and 24 at 7 p.m. on the PCHS Gym Stage, with doors opening for general seating at 6:30 p.m. each night.
Following the success of its debut fall production, Our Place by Terri Gabbard, the Spring Showcase marks a major milestone as the program completes its first year. The event highlights the depth of talent within the PCHS fine arts department through a dynamic and engaging lineup.
The evening will open with a selection of Broadway favorites, including a classic duet and a contemporary solo performed by students Leeka McDaniel and Paige Ladner. Showcasing student creativity, the program will also feature an original comedy, For the Record, written by PCHS students Hailey LeBeau and Sofi Simmons. Performed by the Theatre 2 class, the seven-minute play offers a humorous and relatable take on the pressures of high school group projects and sub assignments.
The centerpiece of the showcase is the high-energy one-act play Ten Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse by Don Zolidis. This fast-paced comedy combines seasoned performers from the fall production with new faces making their Pirate Theatre debut, delivering a lively and entertaining guide to surviving the unexpected.
