Pass Christian Students Bring Storybook Characters to Life Through Storybook Pumpkin Patch
Students at Pass Christian Elementary School are bringing their favorite storybook characters to life through the fun and creative Storybook Pumpkin Patch project!
As part of this engaging literacy activity, students decorate pumpkins to represent characters from their favorite books. Using their imaginations and artistic talents, students transform ordinary pumpkins into recognizable storybook characters, creating a colorful collection that celebrates the joy of reading.
The Storybook Pumpkin Patch encourages students to connect literacy and creativity while strengthening their understanding of characters, stories, and the elements of literature. By choosing a character and designing a pumpkin to represent that character, students have the opportunity to think creatively, express their ideas, and share their love of reading with others.
Projects like the Storybook Pumpkin Patch make learning memorable by combining literacy with hands-on activities. The finished pumpkins showcase students’ creativity and highlight the excitement that comes from exploring the world of books.
Pass Christian Elementary School is proud to provide engaging learning experiences that inspire students to read, imagine, and create while fostering a lifelong love of learning.
